What is biomass energy?

Biomass power is carbon-neutral electricity generated from renewable organic waste that would otherwise end up in landfills, be burned openly, or be used as fodder for forest fires. When burned, the energy in biomass is released as heat. If you have a fireplace, you are already involved in the use of biomass, because the wood you burn in it is a biomass fuel.

In biomass power plants, waste wood or other waste is burned to produce steam that drives turbines to generate electricity or provide heat for industry and homes. Fortunately, new technologies, including pollution control and combustion engineering, have developed to the point where emissions from burning biomass in industrial facilities are usually lower than those from using fossil fuels (coal, natural gas, oil). Renewable energy is already using these technologies in our facilities.

Biomass pellet, as a kind of biomass energy, are being used in more and more biomass power plants and other application fields.
